The Future Shorts Festival is the biggest pop up film festival of its kind, showcasing the most exciting short films from around the world.
We believe that independent short films from around the world can reflect different cultures more realistically, catalysing cultural exchange in Kyoto Japan.
Future Shorts Festival is also an international community for film makers in Japan and overseas to network, exchange, create new values and amazing projects together across borders.

For this Future Shorts Festival, we will be tying up with a very cool charity organization Beers for Books where for each drinks you buy at the event, 100yen will be donated to Room to Read, a charity organization that supports education and literacy to children worldwide.
“World Change Starts with Educated Children”, so enjoy the films, enjoy some drinks and give your support to children for their better future and the future of the world.

今回、夏のフューチャーショーツではとてもクールなチャリティーオーガニゼーション「Beers for Books」と提携します。「Beers for Books」とはそのイベントであなたがビールを一杯飲むごとに100円が世界中の子供たちの教育を支援しているチャリティー組織「Room to Read」に寄付されます。
「世界を変えるには子供たちの教育から」ビールを片手に映画を観て、より良い未来のために世界の子供たちを支援しましょう。
このイベント会場は日本発・日本初！関西から世界へ！台詞を一切使わないノンバーバル（＝非言語）パフォーマンス！「ギア-GEAR-」の会場提供のもとで行われています。
